Amy has lived in the Flathead Valley for twenty-plus years, having relocated from Washington State in February of 1997. She was born in Laramie, Wyoming, and was raised in a military family which provided the opportunity to live in the Philippines and Germany, as well as several states.
In 1998, she decided her (then) four children were grown enough to allow her to go back to school and pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Amy graduated with high honors from the University of Montana in December of 2004, and obtained a position as a 6th grade teacher here in the valley. Due to life changes, she left that position in the spring of 2010 and ironically never went back to teaching.
A series of retail jobs left her unfulfilled, and in the fall of 2014, she was hired for a medical billing position with a company in Kalispell, where she worked until coming aboard as the Billing Director for Berube Physical Therapy, Inc, in April of 2017. Medical billing requires a joy of learning new things, lots of detective work, and a dogged determination to achieve goals – all of these are reasons Amy enjoys her job. Nothing makes her happier than seeing patients get the care they need with as little stress possible. To that end, she strives to do everything within her power to get patient claims paid for by their insurance – from obtaining pre-authorization to sending out error-free claims.
Amy married Joe Baldwin of Kalispell in March 2015. Their combined family includes 6 children, five grandchildren, and two dogs. In her free time, Amy enjoys camping, walking, water aerobics, yoga, and most of all, singing and playing guitar.
